For Virgil Abloh’s “Athlete in Progress” collection with Nike, Virgil wanted to tap Nike’s rich heritage in track and field. The assortment balances performance product with post-run apparel and footwear inspired by Nike’s storied running shoe designs.

As an athlete committed to breaking barriers on and off the track, Virgil looked to Caster Semenya as the epitome of what it means to be an athlete in progress. We traveled to Soweto, South Africa where we shot part one of this campaign.
